Arsenal have defeated Newcastle at St James Park 1-0 after a 58' Aubameyang goal. Arsenal had significantly weakened side not starting Lacazette, Pepe, Luiz, Bellerin, Torreira, Holding, Tierney, Ceballos, Ozil etc due to match fitness, injury or other reasons. But the likes of Aubameyang, Willock, Maitland Niles, Guendouzi and Nelson all played very well, getting Arsenal the win. Here is the first thing we learnt.

Joe Willock Is Going To Be Involved Heavily This Season:

Willock was superb against Newcastle and surely will be at least a regular substitute for Arsenal. Willock really energised the weak midfield. Willock was the bright spark, often starting attacks and showing good play with Aubameyang, nearly scoring within the first minute. Willock has a big season for Arsenal ahead, although we shouldn't get carried away .

Mkhitaryan Is Our Worst Attacking Option:

Mkhitaryan was easily the worst player on the pitch at Arsenal and consistently is the worst player. He plays as a central attacking midfielder/winger but surely he wont play much more. The likes of Willock, Nelson, Pepe, Ozil and Ceballos (who all play the same position) have all showed to be more inform then Mkhitaryan.

Calum Chambers Could Play A Lot This Season:

Calum Chambers was fantastic. Absolutely great. He has been good in pre-season and clearly the manages favours him. He is an upgrade on Mustafi and could be crucial to our team. I expect him to be a heavily involved player this season after his great performance.

Arsenal Will Be Seriously Dangerous When They Have A Full Fledged Team:

Arsenal basically had a second team out this game. As I said before, stars weren't available. The attack will look frightening and with the likes of Ceballos and Ozil potentially behind them. Arsenal will be a great team. With the additions of Tierney and Luiz, the defence isn't looking as shaky. Arsenal could be in for a top season.
